This new site isn’t quite finished, but then with websites it seems like “finished” doesn’t really apply. This is a verb, it’s in the middle part of the sentance and I expect people will understand the content even if it’s a bit less than complete and I personally think it’s alright to take the stage while you are wiping off lipstick so there you have it.

I’m excited to offer new classes.

I recently completed teaching a federally funded program designed to help long term unemployed folks in South King County by providing them with skill suitable for application in industrial and manufacturing sectors.

I taught them for twenty weeks. The curriculum I developed covered metallurgy, welding, foundry work, machine tool use, computer numeric control, soldering, electronic, electronic test equipment, basic robotics, electrical theory, troubleshooting, and project design.

The electronics component was challenging at first, but now I have suppliers and projects that are tested, which makes all the difference.

I hope to see people I have worked with in the past and to begin to offer a trajectory that helps people build the skills they want along a development pathway that keeps them engaged with All Metal Arts. I hope to take a lot of direction from our clients.

My friend Beth Petrick recently finished with the Boilermakers and will be helping to teach classes as well. I’m very excited to have her aboard. She is a skilled welder and is very interested in Jewelry which is another subject I would like to be able to offer.
